Managing incompetence and/or incapacity is a difficult process and one which requires strict procedures to be followed. Laborite® provides a guide to dealing with poor performance due to incompetence and incapacity as a result of ill-health or injury.
The user is guided through the counselling process for improved performance, and where improvement is not achieved, through the termination process in a manner that is procedurally and substantively fair.

The Performance Management Module further assists the user in the process of:
• monitoring standards of performance
• preparing for and proceeding with counselling sessions
• preparing for and proceeding with formal hearings for poor performance
• assessing and monitoring poor attendance and assisting in identifying cases
of genuine ill-health or abuse of sick leave
• administering dismissals for abuse of sick leave
• cases of termination on grounds of incapacity.

* Each module has been developed to take cognisance of the guidelines contained in labour legislation, as well as those guidelines handed down by our various labour tribunals and courts. As a result, in the event that a labour dispute is referred to one of the labour tribunals or courts, the organisation is able to show that its actions have been substantively and procedurally fair, thus limiting the risk of adverse awards and orders.
